Academy of Maritime Education and Training, also known as AMET, was founded in 1993. It is the one and only University from India to be a member of the “International Association of Maritime Universities.” AMET offers different courses related to marine and general sectors rangin
AMET is accredited by the UGC, NAAC with an A Grade (CGPA of 3.13), the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), AICTE, and MHRD. Academy of Maritime Education and Training has been listed as one of the top institutions in Performance Indicators in Maritime Education and Training (PIMET) by the International Association of Maritime Universities (IAMU), Japan. The academy is also recognized by the Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) and is categorized as a “PERFORMER” institution (Star Ranking 4/5) in the category of “University & Deemed to be University (Private-Self-Financed)” in the Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievement (ARIIA) 2021. Academy of Maritime Education and Training has also been accredited with Grade A1 (Outstanding) in the Comprehensive Inspection Programme (CIP) for the past 5 consecutive years. Academy of Maritime Education and Training has also secured its compliance certificate for ISO 9001:2015 QMS standards for an excellent research infrastructure from the globally recognized DET NORSKE VERITAS, Norway.
AMET has also become eligible to offer fully online courses after the UGC and AICTE approvals. The online courses available at the academy include a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com), a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Shipping and Logistics Management, and a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA). These online programs have low fee structures and easy eligibility criteria that provide a great opportunity for students to learn remotely.
