Executive PhD: the short answer
An executive PhD is a doctoral programme for experienced professionals who keep their jobs while they research. Several IIMs run one, sometimes under the name PhD for working professionals, and it leads to a PhD after coursework and a thesis. It is not an online degree. The entrance test, the interview and the coursework involve time on campus, and each IIM sets its own eligibility, schedule and fee.
