NMIMS online MBA fees are ₹1,96,000 if you pay the full programme fee upfront, ₹2,10,000 if you pay ₹1,05,000 a year for two years, or ₹2,20,000 if you pay ₹55,000 a semester for four semesters, as of October 2026. A ₹1,200 admission processing fee and exam fees of ₹800 per subject come on top.
These figures come from NMIMS's own MBA (Online) fee pages for the admission cycle that opened on 24 September 2026. Below you'll find the full cost once the smaller charges are added, how the payment plans differ, who can apply, and whether the price makes sense for you. NMIMS online MBA fees for 2 years: the three payment plans
NMIMS publishes one fee for the MBA (Online), whichever specialisation you pick. What changes is how and when you pay, and paying everything at once is the cheapest route.
| Payment plan | Each instalment | Instalments | Programme fee total |
|---|---|---|---|
| Full programme fee upfront | ₹1,96,000 | 1 | ₹1,96,000 |
| Annual | ₹1,05,000 | 2 (one per year) | ₹2,10,000 |
| Semester-wise | ₹55,000 | 4 (one per semester) | ₹2,20,000 |
Paying upfront saves you ₹24,000 against the semester plan and ₹14,000 against the annual plan. The semester plan costs the most but asks for the smallest amount at a time, which helps if you are paying from your salary rather than from savings.
Other charges on top of the programme fee
| Charge | Amount | When you pay it |
|---|---|---|
| Admission processing fee | ₹1,200 | Once, with the registration form |
| Registration amount | ₹10,000 | At registration; taken from the programme fee, not charged extra |
| Exam fee | ₹800 per subject, per attempt | For each term-end exam you sit |
| Project fee | ₹800 per attempt | Final semester |
| Late admission fee | ₹500 (15 to 28 Feb 2027) or ₹1,000 (1 to 16 Mar 2027) | Only if you join after 14 Feb 2027 |
The published curriculum for the Business Management and Finance specialisations lists 24 subjects across four semesters, plus a project. If you clear every paper on the first attempt, exam and project fees add about ₹20,000 (24 × ₹800, plus ₹800 for the project). Each re-attempt costs another ₹800.
That puts a realistic all-in budget at about ₹2,17,200 on the upfront plan, ₹2,31,200 on the annual plan and ₹2,41,200 on the semester plan, before any re-exams. The fee page does not mention GST, so ask for a written payment statement before you pay.
What the fee covers, and how you can pay
The programme fee pays for two years of teaching on NMIMS's learning platform: live and recorded lectures, e-books, journals, lecture transcripts and the Student Zone on the portal and mobile app. NMIMS also lists career services such as one-to-one coaching, profile building and practice interviews. Your study kit and portal access start only after the university confirms your admission.
How to pay: online, or by demand draft in favour of "SVKM's NMIMS", payable at Mumbai.
EMI and loans: the fee page says finance options are available but publishes no EMI plan. It also says NMIMS plays no part in any education loan, so you choose and deal with your own bank or NBFC.
Monthly view: the semester plan works out to about ₹9,170 a month if you set money aside every month (₹2,20,000 over 24 months), before exam fees.
Discount: armed forces, paramilitary and other forces personnel and their dependents get 20% off the programme fee. These pages list no other discount.
Read the cancellation and refund policy linked from the official MBA (Online) fee page before you pay the first instalment.

Who it suits, and who should look elsewhere
At about ₹2 lakh, NMIMS sits in the middle of the online MBA market. You pay for an A++ university name that Indian employers know and a fee that is published in full. You are not paying for campus placements, because this programme does not include them.
It suits you if
You are working and want a recognised MBA without leaving your job, and you can keep up with term-end exams every semester.
You can pay ₹1,96,000 upfront, or your employer reimburses fees. The upfront plan is the best value.
You want a general-management base with one of seven specialisations.
You are a graduate with 50% or more who wants an MBA without sitting CAT.
Look elsewhere if
Your total budget is under ₹1.5 lakh. Start with our shortlist of the best online MBA options under ₹2 lakh.
You have three or more years of experience and want a senior-manager programme. NMIMS's separate MBA (Working Executive) asks for 55% and 3+ years of work experience, and costs ₹4,00,000 upfront or ₹2,50,000 in year one and ₹2,00,000 in year two.
You need campus recruitment. NMIMS offers career coaching and a job portal, not a placement guarantee.
Your graduation marks are below the 50% cut-off (45% for reserved categories).

Frequently asked questions
What is the NMIMS online MBA fee per semester?
₹55,000 per semester for four semesters, which totals ₹2,20,000, as of October 2026. Add the ₹1,200 admission processing fee and ₹800 per subject for exams.
What is the total NMIMS online MBA fee for 2 years?
Between ₹1,96,000 and ₹2,20,000 in programme fees, depending on the plan you choose: upfront, yearly or by semester. With processing, exam and project fees, plan for about ₹2.17 lakh to ₹2.41 lakh.
Does NMIMS offer EMI for the online MBA?
NMIMS publishes no EMI plan. The semester plan is the closest built-in option. If you take an education loan, you apply to a bank or NBFC yourself; NMIMS says it plays no part in the loan.
Is the NMIMS online MBA UGC approved?
Yes. As of October 2026, the UGC-DEB programme list shows SVKM's NMIMS entitled to offer the MBA in online mode for 2026-27 (July session). Check the list for your own session before you pay. The full specialisation list is on the NMIMS online MBA page.
Is the NMIMS online MBA worth it?
It is good value if you want a well-known A++ university at a published fee of about ₹2 lakh and can pay upfront. It is a weak fit if you need campus placements or your budget is under ₹1.5 lakh.
