SNDT Women’s University is the first women's university in India and Southeast Asia and was established in the year 1916 by Maharshi Dr. Dhondo Keshav Karve. Having headquarters in Churchgate, Mumbai, and other campuses in Juhu (Mumbai) and Pune, SNDTWU is a visionary institution that has been in existence for more than a century, making females more empowered through education. It has a rich and widespread academic structure and more than 307 affiliated colleges, 39 departments and 13 institutions and accommodates over 50,000 students in the country. Our innovative Learning Management System (LMS) will improve the learning process with the opportunity to provide high-end online education, including recorded lectures, discussion boards, and e-resources. Being NAAC-A+ and accredited by the UGC and NIRF, SNDTWU strives to implement value-based education with academic excellence. Our mission is to empower women, promote professional growth and offer research-based education based on social responsibility guided by the slogan "An Enlightened Woman is a Source of Infinite Strength."
