This University was founded by the first president of India, Dr Rajendra Prasad in the year 1956. It is located at the famous destination in India, where the plot of the famous Epic was set, in the city of Kurukshetra. The University is lying on the banks of the river. Currently, the University is offering courses in both the mode, in online and distance modes of education.
