This University was founded by the first president of India, Dr Rajendra Prasad in the year 1956. It is located at the famous destination in India, where the plot of the famous Epic was set, in the city of Kurukshetra. The University is lying on the banks of the river. Currently, the University is offering courses in both the mode, in online and distance modes of education. Throughout the years the university has grown in terms of providing quality education, and world-class facilities to the students. This University is offering more than 175 courses to students in regular, online, and distance modes of education. It is recognized by NIRF & IQAC. The University has been accredited with an NAAC A+ grade. Also, it is positioned at 8th rank by the MHRD(Ministry of Human Resource Development) as a Category 1 University.
