University of Science & Technology Meghalaya snapshot
The ERD Foundation-sponsored University of Science and Technology, Meghalaya (USTM), located in Guwahati, was established under the USTM Act (No. 6 of 2008) and is recognized by the UGC in Section 22 of the UGC Act, 1956. USTM holds permissions from AICTE, NCTE, PCI, BCI, NCISM, and NMC to offer various programs, including B.Tech, MBA, B.Ed., Law, Pharmacy, Ayurveda, and Medicine courses. The university is in a picturesque Assam-Meghalaya border at Guwahati and offers a serene learning environment with ease of access to major transport centers. The USTM Centre of Distance and Online Education (CDOE) has self-paced learning options available in terms of flexibility to suit working professionals and lifelong learners. It offers affordable education to all individuals, particularly women and the poor, through quality study materials, online, and mentoring services. USTM has over 110 active research projects, 140+ patents, and more than 300 national and international partnerships, and it is still advancing excellence in education, innovation, and research, while also developing the next generation of scientific and technological leaders.
