The courses provided by the Institute of Distance Education (IDE) of the Rajiv Gandhi University are accepted and accredited by the Distance Education Council (DEC) in New Delhi. The DEC has a team of experts who have been visiting the university facilities, course materials, and systems of supporting students to ensure quality in 2005. IDE is currently shifting to the application of more technology in its instructional methods, and it is planning the establishment of a computer center and a website to enhance online learning.
