National Institute of Technology (NIT) Raipur is believed to be one of the most reputed technical schools in India, with a great history. Previously, it was a Government Engineering College until it was raised to National Institute of Technology in 2005, followed by an Institute of National Importance under the NIT Act 2007. Since NIT Raipur is a central ministry-funded institution under the Government of India, its standards of technical research and education are the best. It has a huge campus of 100 acres within the capital city of Chhattisgarh, Raipur, with an excellent infrastructure of high-tech laboratories, ultra-modern classes, state of a art central library with vast digital infrastructure, research centres, workshops and a wonderful sports infrastructure. NIT Raipur is committed to delivering an active academic experience, a balance between theory and practice, innovation, entrepreneurship, and interdisciplinary research. On the undergraduate level, NIT Raipur provides B.Tech in the following disciplines Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering and Mining Engineering, Biomedical Engineering and Architecture. The postgraduate study programs consist of M.Tech in different majors, MBA, MCA, and M.Sc. courses, besides PhD programs offered in all the sections of the institute. Judging by the changing demands of working professionals and the increasing necessity of convenient and quality education, NIT Raipur has collaborated with Intellipaat to provide online programs of M.Tech that are UGC-titled. These programs are equally rigorous and full of curriculum standards as the on-campus programs, but with the flexibility of remote learning. The online platform will combine live interactive courses, recorded videotapes, virtual laboratories, industry-relevant projects and one-on-one mentoring, which means that distance learners will get a comprehensive education experience that is comparable to their on-campus counterparts. Research excellence is also demonstrated by the numerous publications, patents, funded projects and partnerships with top national and international institutions involved in the institute. NIT Raipur is focused on innovation and entrepreneurship with the help of its incubation center, where the students are invited to work on developing innovative solutions to practical problems and where startup projects are supported.
