Overview
Mizoram University Online snapshot
Mizoram University is a central university established by an Act of Parliament (No. 8 of 2000). It became operational on 2 July 2001 and its 978-acre campus sits on the outskirts of Aizawl, the capital of Mizoram. Before that it was the Mizoram campus of North-Eastern Hill University. It holds a NAAC A+ grade from its third accreditation cycle in 2025, and NIRF ranked it 82nd in the university category in 2025 (77th in 2024).
Its online degrees are run by the Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE). UGC's Distance Education Bureau lists Mizoram University as entitled to offer 13 programmes in online mode for 2026-27: an MBA in six specialisations, a BBA, a B.Com (General), a BA (Education) and MAs in Education, Sociology, Political Science and Economics.

Is a Mizoram University online degree valid?
Yes, for the programmes on UGC-DEB's entitled list. UGC's 2020 regulations treat an online degree from a recognised institution as equivalent to the same degree in conventional mode.
