In 1962 when Satyendra Narayan Sinha, an educationist and then Education Minister of Bihar, established Magadh University under the Bihar State University Act,1976. K. K. The founder-vice-chancellor is Dutta, who is a celebrated historian. It opened its operations on 2 March 1962 with two constituent colleges. A lot has happened since the inception of Magadh University, way back in the year 1962. In the course of years, Magadh University has turned into a full-service educational facility. The University has several specialised institutions with its courses both full-time and distance learning. In 1992, the Directorate of Distance Education at Magadh University was initiated to serve the interests of the learners in the South Asian countries who could not join the other classes. Magadh University is an AICTE approved, NAAC C-accredited accredited and UGC approved university. The University has been known for its historic significance and commitment towards delivering quality education. The Magadh University offers numerous programs with the help of its various departments. The distance learning unit of the university serves learners who are unable to learn in the ordinary classes owing to diverse limitations. Magadh University has a wide variety of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral degrees in the field of arts, science, commerce, management, and social sciences. The curriculum aims at offering education that is holistic, excellence in learning and education, and skills in practice. Along with this, the admission process is also easy, where some of them require you to give entrance exams while others are based on a merit basis.
