IIT Mandi or Indian Institute of Technology Mandi is India’s prestigious institute. It was established in the year 2009 and is one of the 8 newly established IITs. These IITs were founded by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. IIT Mandi is an autonomous body that is located in Kamand Valley in the Manali district of Himachal Pradesh. The campus is spread over an area of 538 acres of land and is situated in the valley and surrounded by nature and biodiversity of Himachal Pradesh. This institute is approved by the Ministry of Human Resource & Development and ranked in NIRF 2023 on various essential parameters like Research and Professional Practices, Teaching, Learning and Resources, Graduation Outcomes, Perception, and Outreach and Inclusivity. It has also scored a global rank of 1908/2000 by the US news agency, as per Times Higher Education Ranking it is ranked at 1001 position.
