The campus is spread over 69 acres that features well-structured academic buildings for multiple engineering disciplines, workshops, laboratories, a large library, hostels (boys & girls), sports facilities, Wi-Fi/internet infrastructure, and residential quarters for faculty/staff. Government Engineering College Jagdalpur has produced thousands of graduates who are contributing to industry, technology, and development across India.
The college is affiliated with Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University (CSVTU), the institute offers six undergraduate engineering programs and two postgraduate courses. The journey of the GEC started with just 20 seats in Civil Engineering, which expanded its services by offering the branches such as Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & IT, and Electrical Engineering. In addition to that, the Structural Engineering and Thermal Engineering disciplines are provided for those candidates who are interested in a postgraduate program.
