Goa University was initially the University of Bombay Centre of Post-Graduate Instruction and Research (CPIR), which was developed to become Goa University in 1985. The university is located on 402 acres on the Taleigao Plateau and provides a quiet yet modern-day university campu
Goa University encourages digital learning via SWAYAM and their Unigoa Pathshala and UNIGOA Directorate of digital learning. Research and innovation are its main centers, and it has projects, which are funded by DST, UGC, and the Ministry of Earth Sciences. It has incubators in biotech, IT and health at the GURU Research Park, which promotes start-ups and innovation. It has also received accolades for community projects such as Unnat Bharat Abhiyan and marine ecology projects.
