Dayalbagh Educational Institute, deemed to be a University, has passed a long journey to become what they are today. The foundation of this institution in 1917, REI, Radhasoami Educational Institute, was the first step in the establishment. It consisted of a Middle School, (later
Later, various distance education programs were offered to the students and many centers were established in various states and cities. In 2004, it established the Distance Education Centre, DIE-ICT at, MTV Puram, Tamil Nadu & Soami Nagar, and New Delhi. In 2009, the DIE-ICT center was established at Rajaborari-Timarni (MP). In 2010, (technology park) a Quantum-Nano System Centre was established. Later, in 2011, the Distance Education Centre, DEI-ICT, in Bangalore was established along with the Centre for Consciousness Studies.
