BRABU has grown by leaps and bounds over the decades and currently caters to the demands of more than 4 lakhs of students across Bihar, covering a spread of about 480+ affiliated colleges. The university has in place distance learning programs, which started functioning in 1997, to focus on the needs of the working professional and those students who did not have time to attend regular classes. This gap had to be filled by the Distance Education Department, which introduced a change and a balance between conventional classroom learning and flexible delivery of education.
The University is also known and acknowledged by the University Grants Commission and is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council. BRABU Distance Education is renowned for delivering quality education at low expenses, and this has made higher education accessible to those students who belong to the economically weaker sections of society. BRABU Distance Education is also providing a large variety of UG, PG, Diploma, and Certificate courses in all disciplines like Arts, Science, Commerce, Computer applications, Management, etc.
